Korra, the last Avatar, continues her journey in season 4 episode 4 of The Legend of Korra entitled "The Calling". In this episode, the focus is on Korra's friends: Tenzin's children, Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo. The three of them set out on a journey to find and bring back Korra.

After Korra's physical rehabilitation in season 3, she has been struggling with her spiritual healing. Feeling disconnected from the spiritual world and the Avatar state, Korra disappears without a trace. Five weeks after her disappearance, Tenzin receives a vision from his father, Aang, telling him that the children need to go on a journey to find Korra.

The episode opens with the three children disguised as air nomads and Tenzin giving them a key to the Air Temple. Tenzin explains that the key will help them find the Temple and eventually find Korra at the same time. The children set out for their journey with high hopes of reconnecting with Korra.

The trio encounters a series of obstacles on their way to finding the temple. This includes getting lost in the swamplands and managing to avoid the spirit vines that have taken over the area. Jinora makes use of her spiritual abilities, sensing the subtlest of flows in the environment, to help guide them in the right direction.

As they journey, they come across the Ba Sing Se train station and see a large number of people leaving the city, who are worried about the Queen's conflicts. This brings up a discussion between them about the value of Avatar's duties and roles in resolving conflicts. They discuss how Korra could have helped if she had not been sick.

The journey becomes more challenging as the children finally reach the temple. Upon their arrival, they are attacked by a group of bandits who had been stealing from the temple. The children are able to defend themselves, and the bandits flee.

After defeating the bandits, the children meet the temple's caretaker, who tells them that only those who have maintained a close connection with the spiritual world can enter the temple. This means that they have to prove themselves since they are not the usual air nomad students.

The caretaker puts the children through a test of will and spirit, to ensure they are worthy to enter the temple. Jinora's abilities prove useful again as she senses disturbances in the temple, allowing them to correct the issue quickly.

Finally, they enter the inner sanctum of the temple, where they find a statue of Avatar Aang and a vision of Korra meditating. The children get emotional and urge Korra to come back with them as they all need her help.

The episode ends with all the children meditating and sending a message to Korra, urging her to come back, and reminding her of the value she brings to everyone.

Overall, The Legend of Korra season 4 episode 4 "The Calling" is a heartwarming episode that focuses on the depth of friendship and the values of trust, courage, and loyalty. It showcases the bond between Korra and her friends and how much she means to them even in her absence. The children's journey is full of obstacles, both physical and mental, which they overcome with resilience and dedication. This episode sets the scene for Korra's return, making fans excited to see what happens next and how she continues with her journey.
