It is time for spring cleaning in Hyrule and Link is the one who is the laziest of them all. He pretends to have a cold to skip the day of work in the castle. Gannon in the meantime is trying to take the Triforce of Wisdom so he casts a spell on Spryte. Her magic got to powerful and things went out of control. During this diversion Gannon steals the Triforce of Wisdom. Link and Zelda were going after Gannon but they get trapped and it is up to Spryte to save Link and Zelda from Gannon.

Zelda is judging an novice magicians contest. When Gannon hears of this he decides to pose as a beginner to steal the Triforce of Wisdom. When he his bat tells him of the guard (Link) he transforms a small lizard into a firedrake to lure Link from his post. Sprite tries to stop Gannon, but is too small. Now the trio set out to get relic back.
