Ep 20. Food Courting

Episode 20 of season 6 of The Middle is titled "Food Courting." In this episode, the Heck family finds themselves frequenting the Orson Food Court more often than they probably should. Frankie is particularly drawn to the Chinese food stand and its free samples. Meanwhile, Mike and Brick are on a quest to try every sandwich at the sandwich shop. Axl, on the other hand, is trying to impress his college roommate with his knowledge of the area and takes him on a tour of the different food options.

As the family becomes more and more obsessed with the food court, they begin to notice the different types of people who work and eat there. Sue becomes enamored with the guy who works at the smoothie stand and tries to find ways to talk to him. However, she quickly realizes that she may not be the only one vying for his attention.

Meanwhile, Frankie, Mike, and Brick's sandwich quest takes a turn when they discover a sandwich so good, they can't stop talking about it. They become determined to find out the sandwich's secret ingredient and even try to replicate it at home. However, their attempts are unsuccessful, and they begin to wonder if they should just embrace the mystery of the sandwich.

As Axl and his roommate continue their food tour, they come across a strange man who seems to be collecting food court "artifacts." Axl is intrigued by this odd behavior and decides to investigate further. He and his roommate end up getting involved in a high-speed chase through the food court, causing chaos and drawing the attention of security.

Throughout the episode, the Heck family learns about the different foods and cultures represented in the food court and are reminded of the importance of trying new things. They may have started off simply enjoying some quick and easy meals, but they end up with an adventure they'll never forget.
