Ep 2. Jeff / Julien

Patti Stanger takes on two very different clients in "Jeff / Julien," the second episode of Millionaire Matchmaker's first season on Bravo. Jeff is a workaholic who hasn't had a serious relationship in years, while Julien is a Frenchman who's a social butterfly, unconventional, but also struggling in his search for love in America.

Patti's team first meets with Jeff, a successful entrepreneur who's built his business from scratch. But his demanding work schedule has given him little time to focus on his personal life, and he's ready for a change. Patti quickly identifies Jeff's personality as "Type A," meaning he's very driven and likes to control everything, and she instructs Jeff to let go of his need for control and go out of his comfort zone.

The team next meets with Julien, who admits he's been trying for years to find a lasting relationship with a woman in America. Julien is very different from Jeff; he's an artist who loves to party and socialize, and he's very open about his bisexuality. But despite his outgoing personality, Julien is having trouble finding someone who accepts him for who he is. Patti recognizes that Julien is "a free spirit," but she cautions him against being too outrageous on his dates in order to attract a mate.

Patti, always focused on results, goes straight to work finding compatible women for each of her clients. Jeff is set up on a date with a stunning beauty, and Patti warns him that he will have to turn off his business persona and actually be present to get to know his date.

Julien, on the other hand, is paired with a woman who's very conventional and seemingly not a great match, but Patti wants Julien to try something different, so he doesn't keep ending up with the same type of partner.

The dates couldn't be more different: Jeff tries to loosen up and have a good time, but he struggles to connect with his date, while Julien and his date have a connection that surprises both of them. Patti is thrilled that Julien is open and honest with his date, and hopes his love life is on the upswing.

At the end of the episode, Patti debriefs with each client to get their feedback, and to give her own. Julien is ecstatic with his date, and he's excited for what the future holds. Jeff admits that he's been way too specific about what he wants in a partner and realizes he has to be more open-minded. Patti is pleased to hear that both men have learned something, and she can't wait to get them back out there on the dating scene.

Overall, the second episode of Millionaire Matchmaker's first season is a great exploration into the lives of two very different men, and how they approach love and dating. As always, Patti is there to guide them and offer her expert advice, and the show is packed with entertaining moments and hilarious one-liners that make this episode a must-see.
