Ep 8. You've Got Sext

Mindy is still dealing with the aftermath of her breakup with Casey. She has been drinking and calling him repeatedly, to no avail. One night at the office, she decides to take her mind off of him by using her newfound confidence to try sexting her ex, Danny. After a few drinks, Mindy types out a steamy message and hits send...but she accidentally sends it to the entire office instead of just Danny.

The next day at work, Mindy is horrified to discover that everyone has received her explicit message. Her coworkers tease her and ask for details, but Mindy is mortified and tries to keep things quiet. Danny, however, is surprisingly intrigued by the message and asks Mindy to meet him for drinks that night.

Mindy initially refuses, embarrassed by her mistake and scared of getting hurt again. However, her coworkers encourage her to go, reminding her that she deserves to have some fun and enjoy herself. Mindy agrees, and heads to the bar to meet Danny.

At the bar, Mindy and Danny have a few drinks and talk about what happened. Danny admits that he was surprised by the message but also turned on by it. Mindy is hesitant to pursue anything with him, knowing that he has a strict policy against dating coworkers. However, Danny assures her that he is willing to take the risk and see where things go.

The two continue to talk and flirt, and eventually, they kiss. Mindy is thrilled, but also nervous about what will happen next. She knows that things could get complicated, but also can't help but feel excited about the possibility of a new relationship.

Meanwhile, Jeremy is dealing with his own romantic woes. He's been casually dating a woman named Whitney, but he isn't sure if she's really into him or just using him for free meals. He confides in Peter, who encourages him to be more assertive and take control of the situation.

Jeremy decides to take Peter's advice and confront Whitney about their relationship. She admits that she's been seeing someone else, but Jeremy surprises her (and everyone else in the office) by proposing a wild, no-strings-attached arrangement. Whitney agrees, and the two head off to enjoy a night of passion.

Back at the bar, Mindy and Danny are getting closer and closer. They talk about their shared love of romantic comedies and bond over their mutual admiration for Nora Ephron. Eventually, they head back to Mindy's apartment and spend the night together.

The next morning, Mindy wakes up feeling nervous but happy. She and Danny talk about what happened and agree to keep things casual, not wanting to ruin their friendship or make things too complicated at work. Mindy is grateful for the opportunity to let loose and have some fun, and she's excited to see where things will go with Danny.

As she heads to work, Mindy can't help but feel grateful for her coworkers, who have supported her through the ups and downs of her romantic life. She knows that things could get messy, but she's also excited about the possibility of a new relationship and the chance to take control of her own happiness.
