Ep 14. The Back Nine

When Larry Bird is asked to join the golf club's exclusive membership, he is overjoyed at the prospect of exclusivity and privilege. However, the rest of the Weavers and Bird-Kersees offer a mixed reaction to his invitation. Debbie and Jackie tag along with their husbands, Larry and Marty, to explore the club and find themselves at odds with the club's old-fashioned rules. Meanwhile, Larry takes great pains to impress his new golfing peers, but his poor sportsmanship sets him apart in the worst possible way. Things get complicated when Reggie invites himself along on the trip, inadvertently setting up a rivalry with Larry. Lacking confidence in his own golf game, Reggie seeks out Jackie's help, but her unorthodox methods do little to improve his swing. As tensions mount and personalities clash, friendships are tested and ultimatums are issued. In the end, only a golf competition that tests not just their putting skills, but also their moral fiber, can bring them together and restore the spirit of camaraderie and shared values that binds them.
