Ep 22. Women's Appreciation

In The Office season 3 episode 22, titled Women's Appreciation, the Dunder Mifflin office celebrates its annual Women's Appreciation Day, which is a day to honor all the women working in the company. Unfortunately for the women employees, things don't turn out as planned.

The episode starts with Michael and Dwight in the parking lot outside the office. Michael is giving Dwight a lecture about women and how they should be appreciated. At the same time, he is awkwardly trying to flirt with a female employee who is walking by. As usual, his attempts are unsuccessful.

Inside the office, the women are gathered for their special day. Phyllis, Pam, and Karen are busy decorating the conference room with balloons and streamers. Angela, however, is not participating in the festivities. She is upset that the Women's Appreciation Day falls on the same day as her cat's birthday.

As the day goes on, Michael decides to throw a Women's Appreciation luncheon for all the women in the office. He makes a big deal out of it, bragging about the amount of money he spent on the food. When the women arrive for the lunch, they are disappointed to find that there is no vegetarian option, which offends Oscar.

Meanwhile, Andy, Jim, and Kevin are in the office doing their usual work. However, they are constantly distracted by the sound of a whistle blowing. They soon discover that a group of women outside the office is protesting against the sexist behavior of the men in the office.

The protest is organized by Jan Levinson, Michael's ex-girlfriend and former boss. She has brought several women from a women's support group called "Fifth Harmony" to stage a protest outside the Dunder Mifflin office. The women are holding signs that read "Dunder Mifflin is a male-dominated workplace" and "Respect Us."

Michael is completely oblivious to the protest, as usual. He is too busy enjoying the Women's Appreciation luncheon. However, when he finds out about the protest from Jim, he is outraged. He storms out of the office and confronts Jan and the women outside.

The confrontation between Michael and Jan is intense and awkward. Michael accuses Jan of using the protest to get revenge on him for their failed relationship. However, Jan insists that the protest is meant to address the serious issue of sexism in the workplace. Michael eventually apologizes to Jan and the women for his behavior and agrees to meet with them to discuss their concerns.

In the end, the Women's Appreciation Day turns out to be a complete disaster. However, it does lead to some positive changes in the office. Michael starts to take the issue of sexism seriously and begins to make an effort to be more respectful of his female colleagues. Meanwhile, the women in the office feel more empowered and confident after standing up for themselves.
