After The Shari Lewis Show was cancelled in 1963, Shari Lewis knew she'd be back. Shari Lewis was a puppeteer and ventriloquist. The only thing better than her wonderful talent for ventriloquism was her ability to understand children. In 1975, she returned with a new show called The Shari Show. In the single season series, she plays an assistant at the Bearly Broadcasting station. Shari brings along Lamb Chop, and we meet new friends: Lolly Picus, Dandy Lion, Mr. Bearly, Clip Clop, and others. The TV network includes a soap opera, the news, an advice columnist (Dear Catty), and others.

In one episode, Lamb Chop plays a nurse, Mary Heartbreak, in the soap opera "Love of Lamb." Wearing brown braids, Lamb Chop is hospitalized with a head injury. Mary Heartbreak's supposed to get well, but Lamb Chop wants to change the script. She believes she can do anything she wants because without her, the show would be cancelled. The producers bring in someone to play Lamb Chop's nurse, bringing cheerfulness to the show instead of Mary's misery. Lamb Chop suggests being a chopsicle. Lamb Chop learns that the audience prefers someone who shares love with others instead constantly sick.
