William Feathersmith is a very wealthy businessman and owner of a conglomerate, but he is bored with his life and wants to relive his youth. One day, he visits a mysterious and decrepit bar called "Cliffordville" and meets a woman named Miss Devlin. She offers to take him back in time to the year 1910, before he became a success.

Feathersmith agrees and wakes up in 1910 with nothing but the clothes on his back. He quickly realizes that he has no way of getting back to his own time and that he must start from scratch. Feathersmith attempts to use his knowledge of the future to make investments and build his empire before it even exists.

As time goes on, Feathersmith grows frustrated with the slow pace of progress and his inability to recreate his empire. He becomes increasingly cruel and abusive to those around him, including Miss Devlin.

Eventually, Feathersmith realizes that he has sacrificed his values and morals in his quest for power and wealth. He begs Miss Devlin to take him back to the present, but she informs him that he has used up all of his chances and must stay in 1910 forever.

Feathersmith is left alone in a world that no longer fits him, with no hope of ever returning to the life he once knew.

The episode explores themes of greed, power, and the consequences of trying to change one's own past. It serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of sacrificing one's principles for personal gain.
