The University of Sing Sing is a television documentary. This documentary is about educating prisoners in New York's Sing Sing Prison. Statistics show that prisoners without a high school education are much more likely to commit another crime and go back to prison. This rate drops when they have more education. Education will help stop the cycle of imprisonment and there is a group of former prisoners who started a program to help stop this cycle. The documentary is about their efforts.

This documentary depicts real life prisoners in a real, currently existing prison. This is the struggle to help break the cycle of imprisonment and crime.

Many inmates have found hope, and a new state of mind, through Hudson Link, a non-profit organization that offers college courses and the opportunity to earn a diploma.
