Ep 16. While You Were Sleeping

Elena wakes up after being injected with a sedative by Wes Maxfield. She realizes that she's been in a coma for over three months and that Stefan has been keeping a diary of her experiences while she was asleep. Meanwhile, Damon tries to figure out who made him a vampire, and Enzo and Caroline continue to search for the antidote to the ripper virus. As they race to find the cure, Stefan's past comes back to haunt him, causing him to rethink his relationship with Elena. Additionally, Jeremy attempts to adapt to his new life as a vampire hunter and Bonnie struggles to accept her new role as a supernatural anchor. With all these things happening at once, tensions rise and relationships are put to the test in this action-packed episode of The Vampire Diaries.
