'The Walking Dead' Lives! Show in Production - See the First Image, Set Video for Season Two

'The Walking Dead' Lives! Show in Production - See the First Image, Set Video for Season Two It wasn't so very long ago that Yidio reported that cost concerns might bury AMC's "The Walking Dead" before the drama could follow up its hit first season.

Well, how things change . . .

While no one should believe that a full-on return is a sure thing until we're all gathered around watching the premiere of a new season, AMC has stoked a little optimism with this first image (below) from the latest shoots of the show, courtesy of TVLine. As the site's Editor-In-Chief Michael Ausiello says, "kinda sexy . . ."

What? Just me? OK, moving along.

Deadline confirms that the show is in fact in production in the Atlanta area right now. "At this moment, I'm standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew," series writer/director/executive producer Frank Darabont said.

Update: CBS News Atlanta has also posted some early video glimpses of the set for the show.

The station spoke with a publicist for "The Walking Dead," who confirmed that "season two consists of 13 episodes that will shoot throughout the greater Atlanta area."

"Crews returned to Atlanta for a second season because Atlanta treated production crews so well," Brandee Brooks told CBS.
