"This is David Lander" was a British television show that was created to mock the journalism style of Roger Cook. Roger Cook would investigate stories personally and interview subjects in a confrontational manner. It began as a British radio show. Stephen Fry starred as David Lander. A few years later in 1990 the show changed its name to "This is David Harper". The producers created six 30 minute comedic episodes under this new name in 1990.
