Three's Company was a popular American sitcom that aired on ABC from 1976 to 1984. The show revolved around the lives of three single roommates, Jack Tripper (John Ritter), Janet Wood (Joyce DeWitt), and Chrissy Snow (Suzanne Somers), who lived in a Santa Monica apartment complex owned by their landlord, Mr. Roper (Norman Fell) and later, his wife, Mrs. Roper (Audra Lindley).

The show was known for its comedic misunderstandings and physical humor as the roommates tried to keep their living arrangements a secret from Mr. Roper, who forbade unmarried couples from living together. This led to plenty of hijinks as Jack had to fake being gay in order to avoid eviction.

The characters were well-developed and each had their own quirks and personalities that made them endearing to audiences. Along with the three roommates, the show also featured memorable supporting characters such as Mr. Roper, who was often suspicious of Jack's intentions, and his wife, who was ditsy but lovable.

After four seasons, Suzanne Somers left the show due to a contract dispute, and her character was replaced by Cindy Snow (Jenilee Harrison) and later by Terri Alden (Priscilla Barnes). Despite the change in cast, the show continued to be successful and remained a fan favorite until its final episode in 1984.

Three's Company was praised for its light-hearted approach to controversial topics such as sexuality and gender roles. The show challenged traditional norms and paved the way for future sitcoms to take on taboo subjects in a humorous way.

The chemistry between the cast members was one of the highlights of the show, with John Ritter's comedic timing and physical humor being a standout. The show was also known for featuring guest stars such as Don Knotts, who played Mr. Furley, the Ropers' successor as landlord, and Ann Wedgeworth, who played Lana Shields, a flirtatious older woman who takes an interest in Jack.
