Kamau Bell is a weekly program that dissects events that are making the news. Whether its politics, entertainment, or an event that's been reported in the news you can be assured that host Bell has something irreverent to say about it.

And that's the real attraction of this FX half hour program. The show has Kamau Bell in front of an audience that's aware of his slant on the news of the day and they're ready to hear his lambasting comments about that news.

Bell himself is an up and coming socio-political comedian; he's also the founding member of the group called Laughter against the Machine, a standup comedy group.

Bell also has his hand in the world of pod casting. Bell and guitarist Vernon Reid, a member of the group Living Color collaborate on the podcast The Field Negro Guide to Arts & Culture.

W.Kamau Bell released a standup comedy album in 2010 called Face Full of Flour, which has named one of the best top 10 comedy albums for 2010 by Punchline Magazine and i-Tunes.

Another entertaining and always amusing part of the show is when the start takes to the streets of New York, and speaks candidly with whoever he can get in front of the camera.

On a recent episode, Bell was in Brooklyn talking with some of the people he encountered during election week. The conversations were real and down to earth.

The people there were discussing the election, and of course the little bits of added humor on the part of Bell made these conversations almost poignant at times, without losing that trademark Kamau Bell attitude.

When you take into account Kamau Bell's pedigree, the fact that the show has segments filmed on the streets of New York, and you add to the mix veteran comedian and all around rabble rouser himself, Chris Rock along with Bell, Chuck Sklar and Keri Smith Esquia as the show's Executive Producers, well you have a program that's bound to bring a smile to your face on some level.
