Touch News
The second season of "Touch" may make things all the trickier for single-father Kiefer Sutherland. According to the most recent casting moves, this next season, he'll be encountering a mother and her gifted daughter, an old friend, and a talented envoy of Aster Corps. Los Angeles is apparently a big city, but it's still a very small world.
Well, there's good news and bad news for sci-fi/supernatural fans who watch FOX. Good news! "Touch" has been renewed and will be back for a second season. Bad news: "Alcatraz" won't be back and the May 11 episode of "The Finder" will be the "Bones" spin-off's series finale.
New mid-season dramas? Check. One new animated series and one returning favorite stepping up to the Sunday-night plate? Check. Kiefer Sutherland? Check. "American Idol?" And . . . check. Yep, it must be January on FOX.
Fox recently gave the thumbs-up for a 13-episode mid-season run of "Touch," the creation of "Heroes" mastermind Tim Kring starring Jack Bauer himself, "24" lead and Emmy winner Kiefer Sutherland. "Touch" is tentatively set to premiere sometime in Spring 2012.
Kiefer Sutherland's latest Fox drama has picked up a little extra firepower. Here's hoping he just isn't getting too old for this s***. Veteran actor Danny Glover has signed up to star along the former "24" headliner in a pilot for Sutherland's newest Fox drama, "Touch." Sutherland will portray a father that has to cope with knowing that his son (David Mazouz) can see events before they happen.
After eight seasons playing Jack Bauer on the hit show "24", you would think Kiefer Sutherland would take a break for a while. But the actor is set to get back to work soon, as he has been cast in the pilot for the new supernatural drama "Touch." The show, which was created by "Heroes" mastermind Tim Kring, centers on a father (played by Sutherland), who finds out that his mute, autistic son can predict future events.
