Ep 11. Speed Metal

In the episode titled "Speed Metal" from season 1 of Transformers Prime, the Autobots are racing against time to stop the Decepticons from getting their hands on a newly discovered power source. The episode starts with the Autobots participating in a race against the Decepticons to retrieve the power source, which is a rare metal called "Bygone-Boost."

Optimus Prime leads his team into the race while Ratchet voices his concerns about the plan. At the same time, Bulkhead reminisces about his love for racing while on Earth's surface, a human teenager named Jack Darby is trying to sneak into the race to get a closer look at the Transformers.

As the race begins, the two teams of Transformers speed through the track and face various obstacles, including traps laid out by the Decepticons. Arcee gets momentarily trapped in the Decepticons' trap, but Bulkhead saves her just in time, showing that their teamwork is crucial to their success.

Meanwhile, the human Jack sneaks into the racetrack and accidentally ends up in the path of a speeding Transformer, causing a near-fatal accident. Jack is saved by a mysterious drifter named Smokescreen who turns out to be an Autobot scout.

After Smokescreen is introduced, the race heats up with the Decepticons taking the lead, but the Autobots catch up thanks to their sheer teamwork and bulk. However, the Decepticons are about to win the race when they are suddenly ambushed by the Autobots. During the fight, Smokescreen reveals that he is in possession of the Bygone-Boost, a powerful energy source capable of going toe-to-toe with Energon.

The Autobots continue the fight with renewed vigor, but things take a drastic turn when Soundwave unleashes his latest invention upon the Autobots. The invention, called "The Resonance Blaster," slows down the Autobots and renders them helpless against the Decepticons.

The Decepticons, led by Megatron, close in on the Autobots and the Bygone-Boost, but just as they're about to get their greedy hands on the powerful energy source, Smokescreen uses his newfound abilities and the Bygone-Boost to unleash a powerful blast that drives the Decepticons away.

Although the Autobots have won the race, they know that they must be vigilant as the Decepticons will be back, eager to get their hands on the Bygone-Boost. The episode ends with a sense of foreboding as the Autobots continue their fight against the evil Decepticons.
