Watch True Hauntings
True Hauntings was a short miniseries which aired on A&E Network telling the stories of true hauntings, hence the name, through interviews, reenactments, and narration. The show traveled around the world to feature stories of the spookiest, creepiest, and scariest stories of the most haunted and supernatural places on earth. Those interviewed included not only eyewitnesses but scientists, psychics, and historians, all of whom were experts within their given fields.
Despite the title, True Hauntings featured more than simply ghost stories of haunted houses and other sorts of buildings. Also featured in the series were stories of demon possession, zombies, poltergeists, as well as vampires. These additional creatures and supernatural beings are among the most well known in legend and history. Each story featured on the television show is featured as a case profile, much like those seen on police reality shows. The case profile is presented first with the eyewitness testimony before then moving on to give the evidence from the scientists and historians.
Overall the show was met with both criticism and acclaim. Some reviewers enjoyed it for its displayed originality among the large amount of paranormal shows on cable these days while other critics found it monotonous for telling the same stories without much change. Regardless, True Hauntings was successful enough that other networks took the idea and created similar TV shows of their own to air.
True Hauntings was aired as episodes that lasted between 43 minutes up to 94 minutes long. Shorter episodes aired within a one hour block of time while longer ones aired on A&E Network over a period of two hours. It was aired originally in 2008 throughout the month of October as a special reality documentary miniseries for the weeks leading up to Halloween. The network did not release viewership numbers and so it has often been assumed that a second season was not produced due a lack of interest from among viewers, particularly those in key demographics.

Are zombies real? An entire religion includes zombies as part of its belief system. Some authorities claim there is scientific evidence to substantiate their existence. Many others -- scientists, clergy and lay people -- simply dismiss zombies as legend. For most, zombies are a frightening phenomenon that remains unexplained.
