Ugly Americans was a hilarious animated sitcom that aired on Comedy Central from 2010-2012. The show is set in an alternate version of New York City, where humans and all sorts of supernatural creatures coexist with each other. The main character, Mark Lilly (Michael-Leon Wooley), is a social worker at the Department of Integration, which is responsible for helping integrate these various creatures into human society.

Mark, who is a mild-mannered man trying to do his job, is surrounded by bizarre and often horrifying creatures like demons, mermaids, and zombie cops. He lives with his roommates, Randall Skeffington (Kurt Metzger), who is a lazy and selfish zombie, and Callie Maggotbone (Natasha Leggero), a succubus who happens to be Mark's crush.

As Mark tries to do his job, he is constantly pulled into strange and dangerous situations, such as when he is forced to help a demon named Twayne (Michael-Leon Wooley) with his evil plans or when he is called upon to save the world from a horde of demon babies. Along the way, he encounters many other weird and crazy creatures, including his boss, the demon bureaucrat Leonard Powers (Larry Murphy), who is always scheming and trying to get ahead.

The humor in Ugly Americans is irreverent and often pushes the boundaries of good taste, as it deals with all sorts of taboo subjects like sex, drug use, and violence. However, the show is also surprisingly smart and satirical, as it pokes fun at various aspects of modern society and pop culture.

One of the most unique aspects of the show is the way it integrates so many different types of creatures and mythologies into its storyline. For example, one episode might deal with a group of satyrs who are trying to start a boy band, while another might involve a visit to the underworld to deal with a vampiric ex-girlfriend. The show's writers seem to relish the opportunity to draw upon various cultural myths and legends to create their bizarre and often hilarious creatures.

The voice acting in Ugly Americans is top-notch, with many well-known comedians and actors lending their talents to the show. In addition to Michael-Leon Wooley and Natasha Leggero, the show features the voices of Bill Hader, Rob Riggle, Maria Bamford, and many others. All of these actors bring a distinctive wit and humor to their characters, making them feel like real, fully-developed individuals.

Despite its offbeat nature, Ugly Americans was a critical and commercial success during its run on Comedy Central. The show won several awards and was praised for its unique sense of humor and innovative animation style. However, it was reportedly cancelled due to low ratings, which is a shame considering how funny and inventive the show was.

Overall, Ugly Americans was a truly special and one-of-a-kind animated sitcom that deserves a wider audience. It is a show that takes risks and pushes boundaries, while still managing to be incredibly funny and entertaining. If you are a fan of irreverent, subversive humor and enjoy creatures of all sorts, then Ugly Americans is definitely a show to check out.
