As the 8th season of Untold Stories of the E.R. continues, a new episode called Creepy Crawlies brings to light some strange and bizarre cases that doctors and ER staff have come across. The episode focuses on a few patients that have been brought into the E.R. due to some unusual circumstances. From insects in ears to rectal bugs, this episode showcases how some of the strangest medical cases can happen without any warning.

One of the most peculiar cases seen in the episode involves a patient, who had a large spider crawl into her ear while she was sleeping. The spider had bitten her from the inside of her ear canal, causing swelling and excruciating pain. The ER staff had to be extremely careful so as not to agitate the spider that had taken up residency in the patient's ear canal. The patient's fear of spiders made the situation all the more challenging, but the staff handled it with care, ultimately freeing the patient from the spider in her ear.

Another case showcases a patient who had been suffering from severe abdominal pain for several days. Upon investigating, the doctors found a fascinating reason behind the symptoms. The patient had accidentally ingested sand fleas while she was eating seafood on a trip to the beach. The sand fleas had taken up residence inside her intestines, causing the severe abdominal pain. This case highlights how important it is to be careful while consuming seafood.

There is also the case of a patient with an earwig in his ear. The bug had crawled into the patient's ear, burrowed into the ear canal, and refused to come out. The patient had acute pain and a severe fear of the bug, making the task of extracting it from his ear all the more challenging.

One particularly peculiar case is that of a patient who had a botfly in his arm. Botflies are parasitic insects that lay their eggs on other animals or humans and then the babies hatch and feed on the host's flesh. Botflies are most commonly found in Central and South America but have been known to make an appearance in other countries due to globalization. The patient in this episode had no idea how he had contracted the botfly but could feel it wriggling under his skin on the upper arm. The E.R. staff had to act quickly to make a small incision to remove the botfly before it could cause permanent damage.

Lastly, a patient required the help of a team of doctors after she had accidentally inhaled a fly. The fly had flown into her open mouth and down into her trachea. The patient was experiencing acute distress and breathlessness, and a quick-thinking E.R. team managed to intubate her and remove the winged intruder from her airway. The team worked together tirelessly to save the patient's life, and the speedy actions of the E.R. team paid off.
