Mika Kanai plays Matsukaze, a Shinma who is loyal to Miyu. Narita Ken voices Miyu's father, who is one of the main antagonists of the series. Okiayu Ryoutarou plays Kei, a human who becomes entangled in Miyu's world. Yuri Shiratori voices Chisato, a young girl who becomes involved with the Shinma. Akio Ohtsuka and Yasunori Matsumoto play Gessho and Miyahito, respectively. Gessho is a powerful Shinma who serves as Miyu's primary antagonist, while Miyahito is a human who becomes embroiled in Miyu's battles with the Shinma.

The animation style of Vampire Princess Miyu is dark and unsettling, perfectly capturing the horror elements of the series.
