Ep 1. Jonah and the Whale

In Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea season 2 episode 1, entitled "Jonah and the Whale," the crew of the Seaview receives a distress signal from a nearby research vessel, the Onion. Upon investigation, they find that all of the crew members have disappeared without a trace. While searching for clues, the Seaview is suddenly caught up in a powerful underwater current and dragged towards a mysterious island.

As they approach the island, the crew discovers that it is surrounded by a massive whirlpool that seems to be controlled by a giant octopus-like creature. Throughout the episode, tensions run high as the crew races against time to outsmart the sea monster and make their way back to safety. With the help of brilliant scientist Dr. Caitlin O'Hara and Captain Crane's quick thinking, they may just have a chance at survival.
