Ep 8. Meet the Press

In the Web Therapy Season 3 Episode 8 titled "Meet the Press," Fiona continues her journey of trying to become a published author. She starts off the episode by preparing for an interview with a journalist. In her eccentric way, Fiona is excited to have the meeting recorded for the newspaper, hoping it will boost her public image and advance her career.

Fiona is certain that the journalist will be enamored by her life and work, and she envisions the upcoming interview as a way to showcase her wit, intelligence and charm to the public at large. However, Fiona being Fiona, things don't go exactly as planned.

The journalist, Martin Lloyd-Gross, is skeptical of Fiona's methods, and the conversation takes a turn for the uncomfortable when Fiona's ideas clash with his own. Fiona's attempts to show herself as a sophisticated intellectual backfire, causing Martin to poke holes in her arguments and make a mockery of her pretentiousness.

The interview turns into a heated exchange, with Fiona unable to control herself and Martin unable to resist the opportunity to take her down a peg. In the end, Fiona manages to get herself back on track, landing some jabs at Martin's expense while finally gaining a leg up in the interview process.

Throughout the episode, Fiona also meets with her usual cast of patients, including her struggling mother and her easily agitated assistant, Jerome. She tries to fix their problems through her unconventional counseling methods but ends up causing more troubles than she solves.

At one point, Fiona tries to help her mother, Putsy, overcome her hoarding tendencies by holding an impromptu yard sale. Things quickly get out of hand, as Putsy is unable to part with her beloved possessions and Fiona starts becoming as attached to them as her mother does. The plan ultimately backfires, leaving Fiona and Putsy with more clutter than they started with.

Jerome, Fiona's loyal but easily rattled assistant, also makes an appearance in this episode. After working with her for so long, Jerome has developed some sort of a defense mechanism, called the "Jerome System," to deal with Fiona's erratic behavior. In this episode, however, Fiona manages to finally get under his skin, succeeding in breaking down the man's emotional barriers.

Overall, the Web Therapy Season 3 Episode 8, "Meet the Press," is an entertaining and hilarious edition of Fiona's ongoing misadventures. The episode features great performances from Lisa Kudrow as Fiona, Victor Garber as her husband, and a number of guest stars who all help to keep the show fresh and engaging.

Fans of the show's unconventional humor and fast-paced dialogue will love this episode, as it showcases the best that the show has to offer. And while it may not be a life-changing experience, "Meet the Press" is a great way to sit back, relax, and enjoy some seriously funny television.
