Nancy and Conrad decide to help them and end up successfully smuggling them into the country. This experience causes Nancy to realize that she wants to do something more meaningful with her life.

In the end, Nancy decides to use her drug money to fund a charity that helps people like the ones they encountered in the desert. She also decides to come clean with Peter about her drug dealing activities, hoping that he will understand and not turn her in.
