Whale Wars: Viking Shores follows Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as it journeys to the North Atlantic to save the whales from an ancient tradition known as "The Grind." Between Iceland and Scotland are the Faroe Islands, a Danish Territory of 50,000 people. These people are descendants of Vikings whose traditions still hold strong to this day. One of these traditions is the yearly herding of pilot whales to shore to be killed for their meat to provide food for all.
