Ep 9. The Party

In Wildfire season 1 episode 9, titled "The Party," Kris returns to Raintree Ranch after a brief visit home, only to find that Junior and Matt have thrown a huge party. She's upset to see the ranch trashed and the work she's put into it undone. While rounding up some of the partygoers who have wandered off into the woods, Kris comes across Charlotte, who has run away from her family's estate. As Kris tries to convince the stubborn and spoiled Charlotte to return home, she begins to realize that there may be more to Charlotte's story than she originally thought.

Meanwhile, Junior and Matt try to make amends with Kris and prove to her that they can be responsible by helping her fix the mess left by the party. But when a fire breaks out due to some careless behavior, Kris is left to clean up the damage once again while Junior and Matt escape unscathed. Kris is frustrated by their lack of accountability and respect for her hard work.

Back at the Davis family ranch, Jean's mother comes for an unexpected visit. Jean is excited to show her mother the progress she's made with replacing the old fences, but her mother is more interested in criticizing her daughter's life choices and pushing Jean to get married and start a family. Jean struggles to stand up to her mother and defend her independence, leading to a tense argument between the two.

As the episode comes to a close, Kris discovers the reason behind Charlotte's sudden departure from her home and helps her reconcile with her parents. Junior and Matt apologize for their behavior and offer to help Kris rebuild the ranch. And Jean comes to a realization about her relationship with her mother and begins to assert herself more confidently. The episode ends with a sense of resolution and renewed hope for the characters' futures.
