Young Marvels was a reality TV series that aired on OVATION in 2014. The show followed the lives of eight exceptionally gifted and talented children, who had excelled in fields such as music, art, dance, and theatre. These children, who ranged in age from 10 to 16, were on the cusp of greatness and were poised to become legends in their respective fields.

The show was a fascinating insight into the world of child prodigies, and how they balance their extraordinary talents with the everyday challenges of being a kid. From dealing with school bullies to managing their stage fright, the show offered a window into the ups and downs of being an exceptionally gifted child.

Each episode featured a handful of children, and gave viewers a glimpse into their lives, both on and offstage. We saw them practicing for performances, receiving coaching and instruction from their mentors, and bonding with their fellow prodigies. We also got to see the children interacting with their families, sharing their dreams and aspirations, and discussing the challenges they faced as gifted children.

The series was hosted by actress and musician, Lin-Manuel Miranda, who was himself a prodigious talent in his youth. Miranda brought a great deal of insight and empathy to the show, and offered his own perspective as someone who had been in the children's shoes.

Throughout the series, we saw the children performing at various venues across the country, such as Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. We watched as they tackled complex musical pieces, created breathtaking works of art, and wowed audiences with their incredible talent.

One notable episode of the series featured a young violinist named Tyler Butler-Figueroa, who had been diagnosed with leukemia at the age of four. Despite his illness, Tyler continued to play the violin and was eventually discovered by a talent scout who saw him performing on the street. The episode chronicled Tyler's journey as he underwent chemotherapy and continued to pursue his passion for music. In the end, Tyler was given the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, a dream come true for any young musician.

Another episode followed a teenage dancer named Derek who had been born with scoliosis. Despite the physical limitations that came with his condition, Derek had become an accomplished dancer and was determined to pursue a career in ballet. The episode chronicled Derek's daily struggle with his condition, as well as his efforts to train and prepare for an upcoming audition.

Overall, Young Marvels was an inspiring and uplifting series that celebrated the incredible talent and determination of these gifted children. The show offered a rare and intimate look into the lives of child prodigies and the unique challenges they face as they strive for greatness. Whether they were performing on stage, interacting with their families, or simply enjoying their childhoods, the children featured on the show were a testament to the power of hard work and dedication.
