Zig & Sharko is a French animated television series that first aired on Canal+ in 2010. Created by Olivier Jean-Marie, the show centers around the antics of a hyena named Zig, a shark named Sharko, and a mermaid named Marina. Zig is constantly on the hunt for Marina, hoping to catch her and impress his love interest, a female hyena named Bernadette. However, Sharko always manages to foil Zig's plans and protect Marina. Although Sharko and Marina are in love, their relationship is constantly tested by Zig's persistent attempts to capture her.

The show takes place on an island in the Pacific Ocean, where Marina and Sharko live in a coral reef. Zig is always scheming and coming up with new ways to catch Marina, but he never succeeds. Sharko, on the other hand, is always one step ahead of Zig.

The animation style of Zig & Sharko is bright and colorful, with a lot of attention paid to detail. Each character has a unique design and their movements are smooth and fluid.
