Joan Crawford is a woman charged with a heinous murder in a film noir created by the genius make-up artist Jack Dawn. In court, the lovely and mysterious Anna Holm recounts, through a series of full-length flashbacks, the events leading up to a horrible death in her family. A case of mistaken identity indicts every prominent member of the family in a plot to seize a large inheritance. It is Anna's past and personal tragedy that holds the key to solving the murder.
