Madeline Stowe, Mary Stuart Masterson, Andie MacDowell, and Drew Barrymore star in this wild west story. When saloon worker Cody saves her friend Anita from one of her abusive customers, she does it by killing him, and as a result she is sentenced to hang. Anita and her friends aren't going to let that happen though, and decide to save Cody from certain death.

Once they have Cody in tow, the group decides to make their way across country and start over. All Cody needs is to withdraw money from her account at a Texas bank, and they can make their way to Oregon. Unfortunately for Cody, someone else gets to the bank first. It's Cody's old partner, who has his gang rob the bank. The women set out to get their money back, all the while being pursued by a pair of detectives intent on bringing them in for their crimes.
