Bound

"In their world, you can't buy freedom, but you can steal it."

Written and directed by the infamous Wachowski Brothers, Bound follows the affair of two lesbians and their plot to steal millions of mafia money in a neo-noir style theme. Ex-con Corky (Gina Gershon) has recently finished serving a five-year prison sentence and is looking to start life anew. Not long after moving into her new place, she starts a lesbian affair with her next door neighbor Violet (Jennifer Tilly) right under the nose of Violet's mafia-associated boyfriend Caesar (Joe Pantoliano).

Violet confines to Corky that she has tired of Caesar's illicit dealings and the blood that comes from being involved with the mob. She wants to find a clean start for herself, and she wants to do it with Corky. She has a plan to smuggle two million dollars of mafia laundered money out from under Caesar's nose and frame a local mob boss' son for the deed, leaving her and Corky scott free to escape and be together. Corky has her doubts about Violet's sincerity and honesty, but she ultimately caves under the desire to be with Violet and the promise of money to boot. Violet plans to steal the money from Caesar's briefcase while he is distracted and have Corky hide it until the two women can make a break.

Everything goes according to plan, until Caesar discovers the money missing. He takes out the main mob boss and his son, whom he suspects of an affair with Violet, suspecting them of undermining him. When the money fails to turn up, he realizes he's been had by Violet and Corky. Angry, and unbalanced, Caesar captures the two lovers and demands to know where the money has been hidden, making plans to escape himself after disposing of the two who betrayed him. But Violet and Corky are not to be underestimated, and they will do whatever they have to to survive and make it out alive.
