Watch Bowfinger

Aspiring director Bobby Bowfinger (Steve Martin) is itching to direct his own film. With $2,184 dollars for all expenses for this movie, and a small, money hungry film team by his side, Bowfinger sets out to achieve his goal. Bowfinger gets his hopes up when a film studio executive promises to produce his film if he can manage to get neurotic, paranoid actor Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy) to star in it. Bowfinger tries his hardest, but when Kit Ramsey refuses, Bowfinger tries another method. He constructed a plan to follow Ramsey wherever he goes, and record all the scenes that he needs for the film. Bowfinger tells his staff that Kit is method acting, and that he won't be interacting with the other actors. As the situations get more and more strange, the paranoid Kit Ramsey begins to grow paranoid, and is convinced that aliens have come to get him. As Kit's mental health becomes more unstable, he goes into hiding, therefore putting a stop to the film.

Desperate to further his dream, Bowfinger hires a Ramsey lookalike named Jiff, who is very mild mannered, and somewhat clueless. After a while of trying to please Bowfinger, Jiff becomes depressed about his lack of acting talents. When the other actors try and lift his spirits, and tell him that his real talent is looking so much like Kit Ramsey, Jiff reveals that the only reason he looks so much like Kit, is because they're brothers. Using this information, Bowfinger must have Jiff try and locate Ramsey so that they can finish the last scene of the film.

Bowfinger has been given rave reviews by both Rotten Tomatoes and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Roger Ebert gave the film three and a half out of four stars, and claimed that everything in the movie worked.
