Within two years the girls are no longer friends. Meredith is still up to no good and is still plotting to break up their new relationships. After a series of events the girls find themselves together in the detention room. They get to talking and miss each other. While in detention they want to renew their friendship and promise to be together no matter what else is going to happen.
Meredith is preparing for a part and is not allowing the guest to attend unless they sit with the clique that she has assigned them to. The girls refuse to go to the party. Instead the girls help out Cole’s mother with catering when she becomes sick. They find out that their servers outfits are clown suits but do it anyway. Thanks to Sasha the outfits are given a makeover and look great. Meredith does not like this and refers to the girls as brats. They like the name and call themselves the Bratz from that point on. While the girls have family issues they are there to help each other out. They get into a brief fight but are able to make up and apologize to each other quickly. At the end of the movie the girls are still together and even perform at the talent show. The girls do well and get invited to a red carpet premiere party. While the girls are on television Meredith sit’s a distance away and watches them and their new fame.
