Brewster's Millions is a 1985 comedy film directed by Walter Hill, based on the 1902 novel of the same name by George Barr McCutcheon. The film stars Richard Pryor as Monty Brewster, a minor league baseball player who stands to inherit $300 million from his rich great-uncle Rupert Horn (Hume Cronyn), but only if he can spend $30 million in 30 days without acquiring any assets or debts, and without telling anyone why he is spending the money.

At first, Monty is excited about the challenge, but he soon realizes that it is harder than he thought. He hires a team of accountants and lawyers to help him keep track of his spending and avoid any pitfalls. He also tries to give away the money to his friends and charities, but he quickly learns that it is not as easy as it seems. He has to deal with scammers, con artists, and greedy relatives who want a share of his fortune.

As the days go by, Monty becomes more and more desperate to spend the money before the deadline. He goes on a wild shopping spree, buying expensive cars, boats, and planes, and throwing lavish parties. He even tries to lose a bet by betting the entire $30 million on a single racehorse named "Piece of Eight". However, his luck turns against him when the horse wins, and Monty is forced to spend even more money to pay off the bet.

Meanwhile, Monty's friends and love interest, Angela Drake (Lonette McKee), become increasingly concerned about his behavior and try to talk some sense into him. They worry that he is becoming too greedy and self-destructive, and that he will lose everything he values in life if he continues down this path.

The climax of the movie takes place at the New York City World Trade Center, where Monty has planned a massive fireworks display to spend the last of his money. However, he is confronted by a mysterious figure who tells him that his great-uncle Rupert Horn has been watching him all along, and that he wants him to fail the challenge so that he can teach him a lesson about the value of money and the importance of love and friendship.

In the end, Monty decides to give away the remaining money to his friends and charities, realizing that he has truly found happiness and fulfillment in the love and loyalty of those around him. The movie ends with Monty and Angela walking off into the sunset, hand in hand, as the fireworks light up the night sky.
