Buffalo Bill

"His adventure made him a hero. His showmanship made him a legend."

The film was shot in Technicolor making it one of the first westerns shot in color. The story is largely a fictionalized account of Buffalo Bill Cody. Cody led a colorful life making him into a American folk hero during his lifetime. In the move Cody rescues a U.S. Senator and his daughter. One of the interesting things about the movie is that Cody is portrayed as someone who respects the American Indians. American Indians are portrayed in a more favorable light than in most other westerns at the time.
