The story then shifts to the pig, Wilbur, as he grows accustomed to his new home in the barn of the family's farm and begins to get to know all of the other unique and captivating farm animals that live in the barn. Among the creatures he finds is a spider, Charlotte, living in the top corner of the barn. The two go on to form one of the most famous friendships in the history of literature and film.
Eventually, the subject of Wilbur being slaughtered comes up again, and in a desperate attempt to save him, Charlotte uses her web to write a message designed to save Wilbur from slaughter. The plan works, as people start coming from all around to see the "magical" spider web where words appear seemingly out of nowhere. Due to the work of Charlotte, Wilbur becomes more valuable alive than he does if he were to be slaughtered for food, which helps to keep him alive. Charlotte is successful at keeping Wilbur alive, but in the end the tables are turned and Wilbur must deal with the possibility that he could lose someone close to him.
Charlotte's Web is available to watch and stream, download, buy on demand at Amazon Prime, Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play, iTunes, YouTube VOD online.
