Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

"The most fantasmagorical musical entertainment in the history of everything!"

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a british musical comedy based on a novel by Ian Fleming that takes place in early 20th century England. The tale focuses on the fanatical Caractacus Potts, a struggling inventor barely capable of supporting himself, his looney father, and his two unkempt children. Despite the set-backs of Potts' failed inventions the family is content. One day the children ask their father to buy a broken down jalopy they play on in a nearby junk yard.

Potts, not wanting to disappoint his children, tries to raise money to purchase the jalopy. He decides with the assistance and encouragement of the lovely young lady he met, Truly Scrumptious, to make musical candy. Unbeknownst to him she is the daughter of a successful candy factory owner. The family's earnings from the venture are short lived, but enough to purchase the jalopy.

Potts works on the broken down jalopy and transforms it into an attractive and functional automobile which they name Chitty Chitty Bang Bang describing the engine sound.

In celebration Potts, Truly, and the children, weave a tale about a happy family with a magical flying car in the faraway land of Vulgaria. Unfortunately, the ruthless Baron of the land sets his sights on the magical car and will stop at nothing to have it. Additonal complications arise when the children are thrown in jail due to the Baron's law that children are illegal in Vulgaria. Potts and company are left to rescue them.
