Czech Dream

This documentary records the massive hoax that this film's two directors played on Czech citizens. Posing as businessmen opening a new hypermarket, the pair were able to create a massive advertising and promotional campaign around the fictitious new store, even going so far as to create slogans proclaiming don't come and don't spend. They managed to attract more than 3000 Czech citizens to a tented field in May of 2003, giving out flag and keychain keepsakes prior to the grand opening ribbon cutting. But what the gathered crowd soon discovers has people reacting with a variety of emotions.
