"This Is Gonna Hurt"

Orin Boyd (Steven Seagal) is not the kind of officer who follows directions well, so when he encounters a problem with the vice president, he swoops in to offer his assistance. Although the secret service specifically requests that no officer approach the bridge, Boyd disobeys the command and approaches the scene anyway. When the dust settles, Boyd is in the deep end and getting ready to be fired, however he is saved by a few well placed phone calls. In order to save face, Boyd is transferred to the 15th, a station, with a reputation of having even bigger disciplinary problems, while the rest of his associates bid him good riddance.

As Boyd enters the 15th what he witnesses turns his stomach, an opinion that he shares with the first officer trying to help him. His encounter with Annette Mulcahy (Jill Hennessy) does not go over well, especially since he took some cheap shots about the way the department was being run.

Unfortunately for Orin, Annette Mulcahy was in fact his new captain and she had heard enough about him to know that she was going to have a problem. Captain Mulcahy decides that Orin needs some help with his anger management issues, and signs him up for the next meeting.

As Boyd cruises the streets, he falls over a drug deal going down, he does what any cop would do and tries to make some arrests, only to find out that it is an undercover operation and he ends up blowing it. The cops in his precinct are not pleased with his lone ranger style, but they still manage to find a partner to saddle him with.

Officer George Clark (Isaiah Washington) is an honest cop who is just interested in keeping the streets safe for his family. Andrzej Bartkowiak directs this action comedy, with supporting roles by Bill Duke as Chief Hinges, and Tom Arnold as Henry Wayne.
