Watch First Daughter

First Daughter is a film that showcases how a young girl discovers who she is and what she is meant to do in life. It stars celebrity Katie Holmes who does extremely well in the film, but the movie in itself was not very well respected by critics. The movie did horrible at the box office and only garnered a maximum of $10 million after spending more than $20 million just to create the movie and get the actors paid. The movie was not a commercial success and failed miserably both at the box office and also in the eyes of critics.

The movie shows the life of the first daughter who finally decides to go to college despite being the daughter of the president. She ends up meeting love along her way and meeting new friends. The film shows how she enjoys the freedom away from the White House and how she actually deals with people being around her whether or not they knew she is the presidents daughter. She discovers her true self in the film and how she decides to try and become a better student and person.

She then goes on realizing that college isn't exactly what it was made out to be, and there are still many kinds of downsides and disadvantages to going to college and receiving an education at such a high level. In the film, she ends up finding love with a secret service agent who is actually in disguise as a college student. She ends up struggling because she really likes him and he loves her back as well. The story takes a huge leap in a different direction because of this single aspect. The movie was very well made but it lacked depth in the film, as to what the original critics have given this movie.

The movie First Daughter is not exactly the movie that everybody should watch. The story is dull, dry, and not so keen to delivering that many messages or life lessons that can be used in daily life. The movie is still alright compared to other films that have bombed at the box office since many audience members still found this movie to be quite entertaining since it does star actress Katie Holmes who is quite famous and very popular. If you want to watch a movie that is simple, then this movie is still worth watching, provided that you do not expect anything big from the film.
