Happy Gilmore has always been this rowdy boy who lived with his grandmother all his life. His main dream in life is to be a professional hockey player, but until now he isn't able to because he has no skating skills. The moment his grandmother's house has been foreclosed due to the failure to pay taxes, she is then placed inside a retirement home. This then makes Happy do everything in his power to make money to buy the home once again.

One day, Happy was at the driving range and unexpectedly discovers that he is able to hit the ball over 400 yards, so the pro at the range tries to convince him to try and be a pro golfer himself. Happy is a bit hesitant and doesn't see his talent in the sport, but once he starts making so much money from bets with the players on the range and wins, he decides to give it all a try. Once Happy turns a pro, he is considered to be the black sheep of pro golf due to his lack of etiquette.

Meanwhile, Shooter McGavin current golf champion, thinks that Happy is an embarrassment to golf, but is also jealous about the fame Happy has been getting. This in turn causes Shooter to try and sabotage Happy's chances in winning money to re-buy the home.

The film is fun yet still manages to sustain a very decent plot. The acting of Adam Sandler is of course highly superior, and has really made Happy Gilmore's character come to life. The film has many special guests such as Bob Barker, Ben Stiller, and many more. Everyone should consider watching this film whether you are a fan of golf or not. It offers hilarious humor that will seriously make anyone laugh endlessly.
