Watch Hellboy II: The Golden Army

Launched in 2008, Hellboy II: The Golden Army is a science fiction superhero movie inspired by the Dark Horse Comics superhero with the same name. The second installment features the same cast as the first one including Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, and John Hurt. The movie was made with a production budget of $85 million. It grossed more than $160 million at the Box Office. Hellboy II: The Golden Army runs approximately 120 minutes.

The storyline begins in 1955 of Christmas Eve when a young Hellboy is listening to a nighttime story being told by his father, Trevor. The story involves an age old war between mankind and magical beings. Succeeding years of war that man started out of greed, the magical beings were annihilated and the remaining forces hid. The leader of the goblin blacksmiths proposes to construct an indestructible golden mechanical force for King Balor, the one-armed lord of the elves. Encouraged by his son Prince Nuada, Balor approves the construction of the mechanical troops.

Soon after, the armies of man assault again yet the Golden Army destroys them effortlessly. But instead of wiping the entire human race, Balor makes a truce with man to stop the war that has left millions of casualties on both sides. Humans will live in peace in their cities while the creatures of the forest remain in nature's care and protection. Prince Nuada disagrees with his father for making the truce, knowing that their enemies can be easily vanquished with the Golden Army on their side. Out of anger for such truce, the prince leaves in exile. To disable the use of the Golden Army, the king orders the key, a magical crown, to be cut into three pieces.

The movie fast forwards to the present time. Nuada ventures off to retrieve the three scattered pieces of the crown key to unleash the Golden Army.
