Hoodwinked!

"Armed And Dangerously Dumb."

Twisting fairy tales around is a trend that does not leave Little Red Riding hood out. Hoodwinked! is the story of such a twist. Red has been caught up in a breaking and entering/disturbing the peace case that Chief Grizzly is willing to take all the way to the jail house. It seems that the woodsman is even in on the crime. He is charged with wielding an ax without a license.

This story does not begin at the beginning. It starts with the end of the story, then it goes forward to explain the events that are witnessed by the viewers. Red is visiting Granny and knows for certain that the character in the bed is not her. She discovers his identity and then mentions a restraining order.

On the surface Red Riding Hood, Granny, and even the Big Bad Wolf are more than what meets the eye. Their little altercation shows some mad martial arts skills; both from Red Riding Hood and her Granny. They take care of the Big Bad Wolf, handily. The Big Bad Wolf turns out to be not so bad, after all.

Their complicated sub-plot, however, gets tied in with a Goody Bandit who is stealing the recipes from candy shops around the region. Animals are losing their jobs and their businesses because they are no longer to create their sweets.

At some point, Red, the Wolf, and Granny all pull together with their friends and fight for what is right--the ability of all furry and feathered friends to make a living wage. They go on an adventure to stop the Goody Bandit from taking any more recipes.

The Bandit's goal is to find the secret ingredient in Granny's special recipe. She does not tell, will not tell, until her family has been put in danger. There are unlikely heroes in this story and more plot twists than can be imagined in a fairy tale.

Hoodwinked! is rated PG because of mild animated action.
