Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit

"Trust no one."

The series of movies about Jack Ryan that were based on the books by Tom Clancy is continued with this movie. The only difference is that this movie is not actually based on a Clancy novel. It is actually an original story. This movie is actually meant to be a tribute to Tom Clancy, who died in October of last year. This movie is about Jack Ryan, of course, but there is a difference in that this move portrays Ryan as a second lieutenant Marine who is injured in a helicopter crash when he is shot down. While Ryan is doing rehab he meets the woman who is to become his wife later, and the CIA is also interested in Ryan because of his apparent ability to recognize complex patterns.

He is recruited for the CIA and finishes his PhD and ten years later works for the CIA as an undercover agent on Wall Street, where he finds discrepancies that lead him to Russia. His fiancée, thinking he is cheating, follows him to Russia, where the two of them end up working together to find what Ryan is looking for to solve his Wall Street case.
