Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch

Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch takes place between the original Lilo & Stitch and Stitch: The Movie. Stitch has become very happy with his new family, and they have accepted him as one of them. Lilo decides to enter a hula contest at school, and when she discovers that her mother won the same contest when she was Lilo's age, Lilo becomes determined to win. She enlists the help of her faithful companion Stitch, and together they begin to prepare for the competition. During their preparations though, something begins to change with Stitch. He begins having "seizures" and reverts back to his old, destructive behavior. Lilo becomes annoyed as he ruins practice after practice, not realizing something is terribly wrong.

When Dr. Jumba created Stitch, they were both arrested before Jumba had time to fully "charge" Stitch, leading to a major malfunction in his cells. This malfunction is what is causing his old behavior to return but will also end up destroying him if Jumba cannot build a fusion chamber to re-charge him.

Jumba begins trying to make the chamber with materials found on Earth instead of the "alien" materials he needs and begins to struggle. Meanwhile, Lilo is so wrapped up in winning her contest that she doesn't understand what is wrong with Stitch. She is more focused on the contest than helping her friend.

Soon, despite his difficulties, Jumba has completed the machine, and Lilo and Stitch have made up. But, before he can make it into the chamber, Stitch has another seizure and accidentally scratches Lilo. He is so ashamed that he hurt her, he decides he can no longer live on Earth. Lilo, finally realizing something is wrong, forfeits the competition in order to find and save Stich. Together with her family Lilo must find Stitch, who crashes in his attempts to leave Earth, and get him into the chamber before it's too late.
