Magic Kitchen is a 2004 Hong Kong romantic-comedy film directed by Lee Chi-ngai, starring Sammi Cheng, Fiona Sit, Nicola Cheung and featuring Andy Lau. The film tells the story of a successful chef and restaurant owner who tries to save her struggling restaurant with the help of her best friend, ex-boyfriend, and a mysterious man with special powers.

The movie begins with the introduction of a young woman named Yau (Sammi Cheng), who is a talented chef with a passion for cooking. She works as a part-time cook at a ferry terminal in Hong Kong, but dreams of opening her own restaurant. Her best friend Choi (Fiona Sit) is a struggling actress who used to date Yau's younger brother. Choi is always there to encourage Yau and help her through tough times.

Meanwhile, Yau receives a request to cater for a glamorous event hosted by her ex-boyfriend Chuen (Andy Lau), who is a famous actor. Yau agrees to the request and goes to Chuen's house to prepare the food for the event. However, things take a turn for the worse when Yau realizes that Chuen plans to sell her food under his own name and takes all the credit for it.

After this incident, Yau is fired from her job and her dream of opening her own restaurant is shattered. However, an unexpected encounter with a mysterious and enigmatic man named Lee (Sheila Chan) gives her a new sense of hope. Lee claims to have special powers and offers to help Yau by cooking for her. Lee's food is magical and leaves the customers wanting more. Yau is ecstatic and asks Lee to help her save her struggling restaurant.

To make things more complicated, both Choi and Yau's younger brother, Tai (Nicola Cheung), are in love with Yau. Choi has secretly loved Yau for a long time, but Yau only sees her as a friend. Tai, on the other hand, is determined to win Yau's heart and does everything he can to impress her.

As Yau's restaurant starts to become successful, Chuen becomes jealous and does everything he can to sabotage Yau's business. This leads to a series of misunderstandings and eventually Yau is forced to make a difficult decision.

Overall, Magic Kitchen is an entertaining and heart-warming romantic comedy with a touch of magic. The film is led by a strong performance from Sammi Cheng who brings both humor and heart to her role as the determined chef. The supporting cast also shines, particularly Sheila Chan as the mysterious and enigmatic Lee, Fiona Sit as Yau's best friend Choi, and Andy Lau as the sleazy ex-boyfriend.

The film's plot is predictable at times, but the chemistry between the characters and the use of magical surrealism makes up for it. The food photography is also stunning and will leave the audience drooling with hunger. On a deeper level, the film explores themes of love, friendship, and the pursuit of success.

Overall, Magic Kitchen is an enjoyable and charming romantic-comedy that is worth a watch.
