Mother Teresa: In the Name of God's Poor

Mother Teresa: In the Name of God's Poor is a film that was released on ABC Family or the Family Channel in 1997. The film tells the story of Mother Teresa- a nun who originally taught geography in her Calcutta convent. When she and the sisters go outside, they see many people starving and riots occurring around them. Mother Teresa decides to leave the convent and devote her life helping others by feeding the hungry and helping the poor. With her years devoting herself to people, she was presented with the Nobel Peace Prize. The movie was released shortly after Mother Teresa's death.
