Moulin Rouge

This British silent drama is staged around the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris. It focuses on the experience of Parysia, a star performer at the Moulin Rouge, discovering that her daughter, Margaret, who has been away for three years, is secretly engaged to the well-to-do Andre. His aristocrat father, however, is not happy at his son's choice of a fiancee due to the nature of her mother's work. Worse yet, Andre soon begins to obsess over Parysia instead of her daughter. His obsessive love for her leads to him putting Margaret at risk.
