Watch No Reservations

The film No Reservation is a remake of a German produced film that was released in 2001, entitled “Mostly Martha”. The film is mainly about Kate Armstrong who is the head chef of a trendy restaurant in Manhattan, New York named 22 Bleecker Street. She is a perfectionist when it comes to preparing and displaying her food. She runs the kitchen in a rapid pace and intimidates everyone around her including her boss Paula. Because of this, her boss sends her to meet a therapist. Kate has a habit of not leaving the kitchen whenever one of her customers compliments her on her dishes. However, she has no problem leaving the kitchen in an instant whenever a customer insults her dishes.

In an unfortunate event, Kate’s sister dies in a car accident. Kate’s nine year old niece, named Zoe, moves in with Kate because of the accident. Because Kate is devastated with the incident, Paula decides to hire a sous chef to assist Kate and the staff. Paula hires Nick who is also a rising star chef who could be a head chef in any restaurant he chooses. However, Nick decides to work under Kate.

Kate feels threatened with Nick who is a complete opposite to her on the way he handles the staff and kitchen. Nick loves to make the staff laugh and listens to opera while cooking. However, Kate can’t also help feel attracted to Nick’s uplifting personality. Zoe also joins the kitchen staff.

Kate tries to resist falling in love with Nick. On top of that, Paul decides to give the head chef position to Nick and this caused a blow to Kate’s pride.

In the end, Kate breaks down her walls to keep people off and allows herself to feel vulnerable. Nick and Kate chemistry continues to grow. The film ends with a happy ending with Nick, Kate and Zoe opening a restaurant of their own.
