Once Upon a Time in the West

"There were three men in her life. One to take her... one to love her... and one to kill her."

Perhaps one the most luridly sweeping Westerns in cinema, Once Upon A Time in the West continues to capture the attention of spaghetti Western viewers. The movie begins directors Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time trilogy. Released in 1968, Once Upon A Time in the West stars Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda, and Jason Robards as your typical husky, troubled, and charming Leone characters we've grown to admire. Claudia Cardinale plays the prostitute turned damsel in distress in perhaps the most beautiful role she has played. Initially released in Europe the film achieved absolute success, but when released in the United States the film met a mild reaction. Now, Once Upon A Time in the West is considered a cinematic classic with astounding cinematography and tense screenwriting. With the soaring original score by Ennio Morricone, Once Upon A Time in the West is a visceral masterpiece not to be forgotten soon.
